On May 3rd I received a series of Tweets from Jeffrey who gave me great advise regarding
format and content of my 20% project. I'm actually flattered by his detailed, super helpful comments. Here are the modifications that I made as he had suggested them:
1) Why didn't you use Google Docs for your spreadsheets? You could have
embedded them instead of uploading them. The way you did it require the reader to have
Office.
Absolutely! See last post dated 3/30/14 with updated portfolio spreadsheet in GOOGLEDOCS SPREADSHEET. Open it and click on any of the stocks' live links and get up to the minute info from
YahooFinance, including message boards/communities
2) Please convert the guest speaker posts to something that could be read w/o downloading. Let me know when you're finished!!
Good point, done!, see 572 blog posts.
3) Did you join a community of investors online? That should be linked on your website too.
Yes, I joined YAHOO FINANCE.COM MESSAGE BOARD linked on my website & MyMoney.gov both investing communities; great to learn about personal finance with Message Boards for questions to other
investors and get answers.
4) Did you use a tool to archive/curate your research (like Diigo, Scoop.it, Pinterest, etc.)? It was part of the PLN part of the assignment
I use THINKFINITY.COM, see my blog:http://www.thinkfinity.org/bookmarks/69967 .
Also a simple personal folder where I learned how to download the closing prices of my stocks.
